complete and total shithole, but a fun place to be when David Beckham is there and shirtless. :D the last NFL game I ever went to was there also... tub of fries and lots of booze are what ruined it. I'll never go to another NFL game as long as I live, because of that experience. it also didn't help that it was the 'Skins and the Giants back when they both sucked balls.

I didn't even know there was a fairgrounds. I thought it was just a parking lot where people got shot at and Nationals players got their cars stolen. Shows what I know. I once saw a homeless man take a shit outside of the Stadium-Armory Metro station. Good times. I meant it when I said it was a shithole. IT IS LITERALLY A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE SHIT.

I should have mentioned that to the drunk couple having sex in the bus stop who were approached by the homeless guy asking for money.

Both of which I pointed out to a police officer, because the sex didn't look all that consensual to me.

Cops don't care about panhandling or any kind of sex. As long as you aren't doing drugs or brandishing a weapon, you can pretty much do whatever you want.

Just wait until you take a leisurely stroll on The Mall and walk into a group of angry protesters being angry and protesting and shouting loud things through microphones in a language that is not English. And steel yourself for a run in with the pro-lifer abortion bus. It's usually parked somewhere on Constitution or Pennsylvania. It's red with dead babies all over the sides, and a P.A. system. Can't miss it.

When I lived in the city of Boston while I was going to grad school, my apartment building was next to a Planned Parenthood. I had long hair. I got attacked with "excuse me miss" -s all the time. :)

Well, I've been in the Boston area for 8 years. So my subway sense tells me "avoid the Orange Line at all costs, and try to stay off the Green Line if at all possible."

Here, I can't avoid the Orange Line, as my closest T stop is West Falls Church.

Metro Center must be like your Park Street (major subway line transfer point in Boston), because it always seems very crowded when I go through, though I've never gotten off there.

In my experience, all the lines suck regardless of color.

And you are correct, Metro Center is a main transfer point. That, Gallery Place-Chinatown, and L'Enfant Plaza are always pretty busy.
