I finally found a pair of shoes that work. I almost bought Clarks', but I found Naturalizers next to them for 15 bucks less, and the instant I put those fuckers on my feet fell in love. So I took them home. Unfortunately I bought the M instead of the W, and therefore my feet abjectly REFUSED to go in them the next day. So I had to take them back and exchange. Now I have shoes that work, I just gotta break 'em in a bit more. (Only wore them one day, and I plan to use them a bit more often, I just had to wait for my feet to stop hating me). So that crisis is averted and I do have shoes. The rest of my life is boring and not in the least bit interesting, so I haven't updated much lately. I've also been sucked into reading MemoryAlpha, which has reminded me why Trek remains my eternal fandom. I have been in love with Star Trek for over 20 years, and I'm even tempted to watch Enterprise just to get my Trek fix before the film comes out next year. (JJ Abrams is directing it, which means that it will be mindblowingly awesome for the first 45 minutes, then it will become completely boring, but you're hooked, and then it will end up with an amazing conclusion that makes you forget completely about the suck in the middle.) Oh god I miss DS9. You know why I like BSG so much? Because they both have that same dark quality to them. (It also doesn't hurt that Ronald D. Moore, the creator of the revisited BSG was a lead writer on Star Trek: DS9 and wrote several eps of TNG as well). Also, I was a giant fan of the X-Files. And noir films. Uh, I guess you guys can see where this is going... Also I heard David Cook on the radio in the kitchen and I kind of wanted to be a little fangirl for a minute. But my roommate was nearby so I did not. | |||
